Job Overview

The Facilities Senior Technician serves as a key member of the Facilities Department, reporting directly to the Facilities Department Head. This role involves managing various tasks related to facility maintenance and serving as the primary liaison for facility-related concerns within the organization.

Work is conducted under general supervision, adhering to specific operational protocols. The technician will operate a work vehicle in compliance with all applicable driving regulations and must possess a valid Florida Driver License.

Key Responsibilities:

HVAC System Management:

  • Conduct regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on HVAC systems.
  • Quickly diagnose and resolve HVAC issues to minimize operational downtime.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and environmental regulations.

General Facility Maintenance:

  • Support the upkeep of all facilities managed by Addition Financial under the guidance of Facilities Leadership.
  • Provide preventive maintenance recommendations to Facilities Leadership.
  • Perform plumbing repairs, including leak fixes, drain unclogging, and fixture maintenance.
  • Execute electrical repairs, such as lighting adjustments and outlet replacements.
  • Carry out painting, drywall repairs, and other maintenance tasks as necessary.
  • Possess basic tools and maintain physical fitness to meet job demands.

Technical Proficiencies:

  • Hold HVAC certification level 2 and possess a minimum of 5 years of HVAC experience.
  • Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS) and energy management systems (EMS).
  • Knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

General Qualifications:

  • Prepare and present facilities reports as required.
  • Maintain a clean driving record for insurance purposes.
  • Availability to work standard hours with potential overtime as needed.
  • Demonstrate organizational skills and effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Follow oral and written instructions accurately.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships within a diverse team environment.
  • Utilize modern office practices and equipment in daily operations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Solid understanding of credit union operations.
  • Consistently meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
  • Exhibit self-motivation, organization, and professionalism.
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a facilities-related role with HVAC responsibilities.
  • Proficient in safety regulations and maintenance instructions.
  • Basic mathematical skills and safe tool usage.
  • Familiarity with office equipment such as computers and printers.
  • Engage in daily communication with staff and stakeholders.
  • Physical ability to lift and move items weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Vision capabilities including close and distance vision, color perception, and depth perception.
  • Position may require a pre-employment physical examination.
