Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Engineer to join our team. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing Electronics & Packaging Machines and Ultra-Fast laser systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Electronics & Packaging Machines and Ultra-Fast laser systems.
  • Provide technical support to customers, sales, and application teams, and participate in customer meetings.
  • Answer technical questions from customers regarding system repairs and applications.
  • Stay current with the latest upgrades and training of new products and software.
  • Maintain historical performance and repair information.
  • Log and create field service reports.

Requirements

  • Minimum B.S. in Photonics or related fields with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with diode pump amplifier systems is a must.
  • Opto-mechanical, mechanical, and automated manufacturing systems experience is a plus.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with new electrical, mechanical, and laser systems.
  • Excellent communication skills are a must.
  • High degree of proficiency in PC skills, including MS Office, SAP, and data analysis applications.

Physical Demands

  • Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Regularly requires good manual dexterity and coordination.
