About the Role

The Human Resources Assistant plays a crucial part in supporting the HR department with administrative tasks, compliance, and safety initiatives. This role requires maintaining confidentiality of corporate and employee-related matters while effectively interacting with all levels of personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining accurate records for Workers' Compensation, OSHA, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, Family Medical Leave, and disciplinary actions in a timely manner.
  • Data entry and updating new hire information, employee data, work rule violations, disciplinary actions, and terminations into the HRIS system.
  • Creating and maintaining documentation and standard operating procedures for all HR processes.
  • Facilitating onboarding for new hires by creating onboarding documents, providing orientation instructions, and ensuring new employees understand company policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirement.
  • Experience in HR or administrative support roles, preferably with exposure to recruiting, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with HR software and applicant tracking systems (ideally UKG and Clear Company).
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
