Job Overview

The Copper River Family of Companies is in search of a Senior Business Analyst to provide expertise in the definition, analysis, and development of requirements for a logistics IT system. As a key member of the functional management office (FMO) team, the Senior Business Analyst will play a crucial role in the creation, documentation, and delivery of functional requirements and associated documentation.

This position offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing for flexibility while collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with management, decision-makers, system owners, and end users to clarify business and system requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and end users to identify and troubleshoot system-related issues.
  • Collect, refine, and document requirements through Baseline Change Requests (BCRs) and Deficiency Reports (DRs).
  • Prepare and present reports, recommendations, or alternatives to address existing or potential challenges.
  • Lead or participate in Functional Review Board (FRB) meetings to evaluate and prioritize new requirements and system defects.
  • Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) events, including the development and execution of test plans and cases.
  • Provide training to end users on new and modified system functionalities.
  • Offer help desk and production support, addressing inquiries and researching system issues and trouble tickets.
  • Investigate relevant laws, regulations, and policies to ensure compliance in business processes.
  • Prepare written reports or briefings as requested.
Essential Qualifications
  • Education: A four-year degree in computer science, logistics, business, management, or a related field.
  • Experience/Skills:
    • 3-5 years of experience within the Department of Defense (DoD).
    • Proven background in supporting IT systems and conducting requirements analysis.
    • Strong analytical and research skills.
    • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Preferred Experience:
    • Knowledge of DoD or Air Force logistics or experience in related fields such as finance or procurement.
    • Background in Systems Engineering is advantageous.
    • Familiarity with the USAF Purchase Request Processing System (PRPS) is a plus.
    • Experience with cloud-based systems and complex system interfaces is beneficial.
