Position Overview

The Copper River Family of Companies is in search of a Senior Business Analyst to provide expertise in the identification, analysis, and development of requirements for a logistics IT system within the Department of Defense (DoD). This role involves collaboration with a diverse team to ensure the effective delivery of functional specifications and related documentation.

The selected candidate will engage with various stakeholders to gather and validate requirements, facilitating the successful implementation of system enhancements and modifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with management, system owners, and end users to clarify business and system needs.
  • Identify and troubleshoot system challenges alongside stakeholders and end users.
  • Document and refine requirements through Baseline Change Requests (BCRs) and Deficiency Reports (DRs).
  • Prepare and present reports and recommendations addressing potential issues.
  • Participate in Functional Review Board (FRB) meetings to evaluate and prioritize new requirements and system enhancements.
  • Engage in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by developing and executing comprehensive test plans and cases.
  • Deliver training sessions to end users on new and modified system functionalities.
  • Provide ongoing help desk and production support, addressing inquiries and troubleshooting system issues.
  • Research relevant laws, regulations, and policies that impact business processes.
  • Compile and present reports as requested.
Essential Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, logistics, business, management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience/Skills:
    • 3-5 years of experience within the DoD sector.
    • Proven background in IT systems support and requirements analysis.
    • Strong analytical and research skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Knowledge of DoD or Air Force logistics, finance, or procurement.
    • Experience in Systems Engineering is advantageous.
    • Familiarity with the USAF Purchase Request Processing System (PRPS) is a plus.
    • Experience with cloud-based systems and complex interfaces is beneficial.
