Job Overview:

As a key player in our procurement team, you will be responsible for acquiring materials that meet specified technical standards, pricing, delivery timelines, and other stipulated conditions. Your role will ensure that all purchasing activities comply with corporate policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Requisition Management: Oversee requisitions and collaborate with various departments as necessary.
  • Purchase Order Creation: Generate purchase orders based on open requisitions and negotiated agreements. Gather all essential information to clarify demand and monitor purchase order approvals.
  • Purchase Order Acknowledgment: Collect and review acknowledgments from suppliers, ensuring alignment with existing contracts and agreements.
  • Purchase Order Follow-Up: Maintain regular communication with suppliers to ensure timely execution of orders and address any issues regarding material availability.
  • Shipments: Coordinate transportation based on negotiated terms with suppliers.
  • Goods Received: Track deliveries to confirm receipt and facilitate invoice processing, ensuring timely delivery and addressing discrepancies with suppliers.
  • CSS Management: Oversee CSS interfaces, ensuring processes align between local factories and CSS.
  • Customer Alignment: Ensure purchase orders meet customer specifications in terms of content, quality, delivery, sustainability, and pricing.
  • Process Collaboration: Work closely with Planning & Fulfillment and other departments to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Invoice Verification: Conduct invoice verification against goods received and purchase orders.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Must possess work authorization for employment with Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • If not a degree holder, a minimum of 5 years of experience in a purchasing role is required.
  • Knowledge of SAP is preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills are necessary.
