Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our team at Meritage Homes Corporation, focusing on the following areas:

• Manage extensive data entry tasks with precision.

• Conduct thorough budget reviews on a per-lot basis.

• Investigate and resolve vendor-related issues, including discrepancies in products, pricing, invoices, and contracts.


• Oversee all contract documentation, ensuring the preparation of plans and bid documentation is accurate and complete.


• Facilitate the bidding process for new developments by creating comprehensive bid packages that include plans, scopes of work, and both standard and optional features; evaluate and approve received price quotes and bids.

• Develop spreadsheets from accurate bids that clearly reflect the respective scopes of work for each trade.

• Assist in analyzing base costs and option pricing, with a focus on new communities.

• Review plans, scopes of work, and specifications for correctness.

• Conduct research and provide detailed analysis to justify necessary price increases.

• Archive project and lot files, along with other essential documentation, in the central archive system.

Qualifications:
• Minimum of one year experience in an administrative capacity.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

• Familiarity with Build-Pro, Salesforce, and JD Edwards software is advantageous.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and other construction-related documents.

• Experience with large-scale project bidding and bid events is a plus.

• Thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment.

• Serve as a professional point of contact for colleagues, divisional and departmental staff, and vendors.
