Job Overview
An Assembler I is responsible for the effective operation of testing and assembly equipment, ensuring that all calibration tags are current and accurate.
An Assembler II and III are tasked with performing various assembly and testing functions across at least two distinct product lines, in addition to training fellow operators.
Assembler IV personnel possess the skills necessary to troubleshoot, repair, and mentor Assemblers I, II, or III.
Assembler V individuals are equipped to handle troubleshooting, repairs, and training for Assemblers I through IV, and they bring a background in team leadership and training to assist employees on the production floor while managing work allocation and resources.
All levels may be required to undertake additional responsibilities or provide assistance in other departments as necessary.

Key Responsibilities
- Assemble various components into semi-finished or finished products.
- Disassemble or assemble and test injectors and pumps.
- Demonstrate proficiency with tools such as torque wrenches, pressure and flow gauges, lapping machines, wash tanks, tumblers, grinding tools, pneumatic impact tools, calipers, scales, tape measures, and both electric and air-operated hand tools.
- Interpret schematics and blueprints, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Consistently and accurately follow verbal or written work instructions, standards, and Quality Work Instructions (QWI).
Qualifications and Skills
- Physical Strength: Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs and push/pull up to 50 lbs.
- Mobility: Frequent walking, sustained bending, crouching, kneeling, squatting, and overhead reaching, including climbing ladders.
- Vision and Hearing: Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions and respond to audible alarms.
- Work Environment: Operate on various surfaces, including concrete and gravel, and at heights from floor level to the tops of locomotives. Work in confined spaces and in non-temperature-controlled environments with exposure to all weather conditions, high noise levels, and dust.
- Emotional Resilience: Comfortable working independently in a challenging environment.
- Safety Awareness: This position is safety-sensitive, requiring adherence to all safety protocols, health screenings, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including metatarsal boots, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, aprons, and ear protection.
