Job Overview

Cabinet Fabricator
As a Cabinet Fabricator, you will be responsible for crafting, shaping, and assembling high-quality cabinetry.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary duties will include:

  • Producing or assembling cabinet components with precision.
  • Verifying measurements and ensuring the quality and fit of pieces to meet specifications.
  • Setting up and operating various machinery, including power saws, jointers, mortisers, tenoners, molders, shapers, and CNC equipment.
  • Measuring and marking dimensions of parts before cutting to guarantee a snug fit and superior product quality.
  • Reinforcing joints with fasteners to prepare cabinets for finishing touches.
  • Attaching components to create complete units using adhesives, dowels, nails, screws, or clamps.
  • Establishing specifications for cabinets to be constructed or repaired.
  • Utilizing blueprints to shape or assemble parts accurately.
  • Cutting timber to the appropriate size and shape, and trimming joints for a perfect fit using hand tools.
  • Matching materials for color, grain, or texture to ensure aesthetic consistency.
  • Trimming, sanding, or scraping surfaces or joints to prepare cabinets for finishing.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a related field
