Role Responsibilities

As a Respiratory Care Practitioner, you will be responsible for administering therapeutic modalities as prescribed by physicians, managing mechanical ventilators, and conducting arterial punctures and blood gas analyses. Your duties will also include:

  • Assisting in the transport of critically ill patients on ventilators.
  • Verifying physician orders prior to treatment.
  • Providing thorough and accurate reports to incoming staff at the end of your shift.
  • Documenting all patient interactions in the appropriate systems.
  • Conducting regular equipment checks.
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Current Indiana licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
  • Degree in Respiratory Therapy (AAS or BS).
  • Minimum of one year of experience in critical care.
  • Proficiency in mechanical ventilation, blood gas analysis, and oximetry.
  • Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support.

This position requires full vaccination for COVID-19 in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations, unless an exemption is approved.
