Key Responsibilities

As a Respiratory Care Practitioner, your duties will include administering prescribed therapy modalities, managing mechanical ventilators, and conducting arterial punctures and blood gas analyses. You will also be involved in emergency response situations.

  • Assist in the transport of critically ill patients requiring ventilatory support.
  • Confirm physician orders prior to initiating therapy.
  • Provide thorough and accurate reports to incoming staff at the end of your shift.
  • Document all patient interactions in the appropriate systems.
  • Conduct routine equipment checks.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Valid Indiana licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
  • Degree in Respiratory Therapy (AAS or BS).
  • Minimum of one year of experience in critical care.
  • Proficiency in mechanical ventilation and blood gas analysis.
  • Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support.

This position requires full vaccination for COVID-19 in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations (unless an exemption is approved).
