Position Overview:

As a vital member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our industrial laundry facility. Your role will involve performing routine maintenance tasks as part of a structured preventative maintenance program.

Key Responsibilities:

Your primary duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining and servicing all industrial equipment, including high-capacity washers and dryers.
  • Executing repairs and replacements of machinery as needed.
  • Conducting basic plumbing, mechanical, and electrical tasks.
  • Troubleshooting technical issues by consulting technical manuals and schematics.
  • Ordering necessary parts and tools in accordance with company procurement policies.
  • Keeping a detailed Daily Schedule Control for equipment maintenance and preventative tasks.
  • Managing the daily removal and processing of waste generated from the treatment process.
  • Performing equipment diagnostics, executing repairs, and adhering to preventative maintenance protocols.
  • Maintaining a safe and organized work environment while following best practices in all operational activities.
  • Utilizing safety precautions and following lock-out tag-out procedures for all equipment.
  • Completing additional tasks as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

We are looking for candidates who possess:
  • A strong commitment to safety culture.
  • Demonstrated mechanical and basic electrical skills.
  • Proficiency in using welding equipment and hand/power tools.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with MS Office and internet-based software.
  • The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Basic understanding of industrial laundry machinery (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Flexibility to work on a set schedule, including potential overtime.
  • Experience in MIG and TIG welding/metal fabrication is advantageous.
  • Ability to use electric meters or a willingness to learn.

Working Environment:

This position is based in a high-volume production environment where you will be exposed to various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, dust, and noise. Reasonable accommodations will be made for individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. The role requires:
  • Regular lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Physical activities such as bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
  • Working from elevated heights using ladders and lifts.

Experience and Education:

Preferred qualifications include:
  • 1-3 years of mechanical experience.
  • 1-3 years of electromechanical experience.
  • 2-4 years of related experience in maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and HazMat regulations is beneficial.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Compensation:

The expected hourly rate for this position ranges based on skills, qualifications, and experience.
