Job Summary

CV Resources is partnering with a dynamic and growing construction company to find a Senior Accountant/Assistant Controller. This is a full-time onsite position in a dynamic and growing construction company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accounting Operations: Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Payroll Management: Manage payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely processing, with a focus on certified payroll compliance and Davis Bacon wages.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with construction accounting standards and regulations.
  • Project Cost Management: Monitor project costs and work with project managers to ensure accurate job costing.
  • Financial Analysis: Assist in the preparation of financial reports for management and external stakeholders.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Support the Controller in financial planning, analysis, and strategic initiatives.
  • Internal Audits: Conduct internal audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Financial Close: Handle month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Tax Compliance: Assist with tax preparation and compliance.
  • Financial Insights: Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience, with at least 1 year in a construction accounting role.
  • Skills: Proficiency in payroll processing, including certified payroll. Strong knowledge of construction accounting practices and job costing. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. Proficient in accounting software (Viewpoint preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
