We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Tax Intern to join our team at Nichols Accounting PC Defunct. As a Tax Intern, you will have the opportunity to work with our experienced team of accountants and tax professionals to prepare tax returns for a variety of individuals, corporations, partnerships, and non-profits.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare tax returns for a variety of clients, including individuals, corporations, partnerships, and non-profits
- Complete assigned work papers and projects, including research and analysis
- Apply knowledge of tax law and accounting principles to ensure accurate and compliant tax returns
- Support internal projects, client work, and firm advancement initiatives
- Four-year accounting degree, actively in process or complete preferred
- 150 credit hours of accounting courses, path to obtain a CPA license preferred
- Sophomre or senior level preferred
- Demonstrated ability to learn accounting and/or tax as required for the position
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and computer accounting software programs
- Good time management, organizational skills, oral and written communication skills
