Position Summary:

We are in search of a skilled Echocardiographer who will utilize ultrasound technology to produce detailed images of the heart and vascular system. This role involves collaborating with physicians, cardiologists, and other healthcare professionals to assess and monitor cardiac conditions in patients. The Echocardiographer will be responsible for executing and interpreting ultrasound scans, ensuring the highest quality of imaging, and identifying any irregularities or abnormalities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform echocardiography procedures to obtain images of the heart and vascular system, including M-mode, 2D, Doppler, and color flow imaging techniques.
  • Manage ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and calibration.
  • Document and analyze echocardiographic findings, preparing comprehensive reports for medical professionals.
  • Interpret echocardiography results to detect any cardiac irregularities, such as valvular disease and structural anomalies.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to develop and implement suitable patient care plans.
  • Provide education to patients regarding echocardiography procedures and offer emotional support as necessary.
  • Maintain precise patient records and adhere to relevant regulations and standards.
  • Engage in continuous training and professional development to remain current with advancements in echocardiography technology and techniques.

Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree required.
  • Completion of a radiology tech or accredited echocardiography program.
  • Preferred: RT licensed in Texas or certification in echocardiography from ARDMS or CCI.
  • Experience in echocardiography procedures, including stress tests and TEE.
  • Preferred: 2 years of pediatric and adult echocardiography experience.
  • Strong understanding of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and disease processes.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with healthcare teams and patients.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of technical proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment.
  • Ability to maintain accurate patient records and comply with relevant regulations.
