Overview:
Conduct high-quality diagnostic echocardiography procedures autonomously while responding appropriately to cardiologists' feedback. Take on responsibilities for associated tasks as designated. Foster team collaboration within the service line and across departments. Communication and behavior must reflect the organization's mission, values, and culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Adhere to the relevant OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Self-Leadership, Leadership of Others, or Leadership of Leaders.
Execute all standard echocardiograms to assess potential heart abnormalities or diseases.
Support physicians during transesophageal echocardiograms.
Conduct stress echocardiograms to assess for coronary artery disease.
Inform physicians daily regarding exam interpretations and check weekly for necessary supplies.
Exhibit proficiency in performing assigned patient care duties in a manner that aligns with the age-specific and developmental requirements of the patients served by the department.
Adjust assessment, treatment, and/or service techniques to meet the age-specific or other developmental needs of the patient.Demonstrate commitment to the Core values of Christus Healthcare.
Certification by ARDMS or CCI is expected within one year of employment, though not mandatory.
Carry out additional tasks as required.
Qualifications:
Education/Skills
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Graduation from an accredited Ultrasound Technology program is preferred.
Experience
Preferred two years of experience in the cardiology sector.
Experience with stress testing is preferred.
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
BLS certification is required.
DCS, RCS, RDMS through ARDMS or CCI is preferred.
