As an Echocardiography Specialist, you will conduct diagnostic echocardiogram examinations using advanced ultrasonic technology to identify, assess, and document essential functional, pathological, and anatomical information. Your role will involve:
- Scheduling and coordinating examinations.
- Recording and analyzing test outcomes.
- Maintaining operational logs and documentation.
- Calibrating and servicing equipment, as well as managing supply orders.
This position may necessitate registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). You will be expected to be familiar with standard practices and concepts within the field, relying on your experience and judgment to achieve objectives. A variety of tasks will be performed under general supervision, requiring a degree of creativity and independence.
Qualifications
Applicants must possess a degree from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound program recognized by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or an equivalent accrediting body.
Current registration and good standing with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) is required.
Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the ARDMS or CCI is essential.
It is mandatory to maintain up-to-date certifications and competencies.
CPR Certification is required, with ACLS certification preferred.
Preferred Experience:
1-5 years in a related field.
