Position Title: Janitor

Overview:

The Janitor role is essential in ensuring a pleasant and secure atmosphere for visitors by upholding cleanliness across the Bogus Basin lodge facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all designated areas are kept tidy and orderly, which includes tasks such as collecting litter, emptying waste bins, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and washing windows.
  • Maintain and replenish restroom supplies, while promptly reporting any maintenance concerns to the relevant personnel.
  • Remove snow and ice from pathways, steps, decks, and entrances.
  • Exhibit a professional demeanor towards both guests and team members.
  • Enhance safety by adhering to safe work practices and notifying management of any hazardous conditions.
  • Assist guests with inquiries or issues; if unable to resolve, escalate to a supervisor or manager.

Additional Duties:

Carry out other related responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:

  • Strong commitment to the mission of Bogus Basin.
  • Ability to execute tasks efficiently and accurately, with or without supervision.
  • Capable of collaborating effectively within a team.
  • Frequent standing, balancing, walking, and reaching are required.
  • Occasional stooping, kneeling, or crouching may be necessary.
  • Must be able to lift, move, and/or support weights up to 35 lbs.
  • Manual dexterity is needed for fundamental janitorial tasks such as stocking and cleaning.

Work Environment:

Position involves working in a restaurant setting, both indoors and outdoors, with potential exposure to varying weather conditions.
