Position Summary

We are seeking a Program Manager to oversee a critical NGA contract. The successful candidate will possess extensive, hands-on experience in program management within the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Intelligence Community. The Program Manager will be tasked with strategic planning, oversight, business development, and daily operational management. This role requires collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless contract execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct project development, budgeting, planning, scheduling, risk management, and execution to ensure adherence to budget and timelines.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the acquisition lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with military personnel, government civilians, and contractors in daily project management activities.
  • Provide expert programmatic guidance to government clients across multiple initiatives.
  • Independently lead teams to plan, administer, and monitor the execution of various acquisition or sustainment contracts.
  • Translate business needs into technical specifications; define project objectives, scope, and methodologies, ensuring clarity on critical tasks.
  • Prepare comprehensive project documentation and presentations.
  • Utilize strong interpersonal skills to clarify complex issues and propose enhancements to senior management.
  • Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders across different contractors and government partners.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active DoD TS/SCI Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Over 10 years of experience in project management or government acquisition, focusing on cost, schedule, and performance management.
  • At least 5 years of experience in business development, with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Experience in proposal coordination and management for U.S. Government/DoD/IC contracts.
  • Strong knowledge of DoD policies and procedures for competitive acquisitions.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and client engagement skills.
  • Strategic mindset with a strong business acumen.
  • Ability to identify technical, management, and cost-related risks and propose mitigation strategies.

Desired:

  • Master's Degree.
  • Experience within the Intelligence Community, particularly with NGA.
  • Experience in Verification and Validation processes.
  • Familiarity with Space Collection initiatives.
