Job Title: Lead Superintendent

Location: Florida

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Superintendent to oversee construction projects from start to finish. This role involves coordinating with the Project Executive and Estimator to ensure contracts, schedules, and budgets are effectively managed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract and Procurement Management: Collaborate with the Project Executive to set up contracts, purchase orders, and Letters of Intent. Execute owner contracts as required.
  • Budget and Scope Coordination: Work with the Estimator to confirm project budgets, scopes, and identify potential issues such as critical items and special hazards.
  • Subcontractor Management: Review and confirm subcontractor scopes of work and verify quantities with the Estimator. Ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Project Scheduling: Execute and track critical path submittals. Confirm project schedules with subcontractors and suppliers, maintaining alignment with milestones.
  • Progress Monitoring: Conduct thorough reviews of plans, specifications, and project documentation with field superintendents. Update budgets bi-monthly and project schedules weekly.
  • Meeting Coordination: Organize and facilitate weekly site meetings and monthly progress meetings, preparing agendas and documentation as needed.
  • Change Order Processing: Manage and execute change orders, ensuring proper documentation and communication throughout the process.
  • Finalization and Close-Out: Lead final punch-out processes, including preparation of final billings, Operations & Maintenance manuals, and securing occupancy certificates.
  • Quality Assurance: Verify that all testing and inspections are completed in accordance with specifications and standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the AP/AR Manager to process owner and subcontractor billings, approving codes and amounts, and releasing payments accordingly.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (10+ years) as a Superintendent in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, project management principles, and budget management.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, PMP) are a plus.
