Bilingual Case Aide for School-Based Early Support Program

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Bilingual Case Aide to join our team at the Center For Family Life. The successful candidate will provide concrete services to families and administrative support to the program in the context of the school community.
Key Responsibilities- Support families with concrete needs as part of a team approach to helping families across four schools in Sunset Park
- Provide direct advocacy and support to families by accompanying them to access services in the community
- Complete varied administrative tasks to support the program, including case file maintenance, client record requests, fiscal reconciliations, data entry, purchasing, and assistance with special projects
- Assist with the facilitation of groups and workshops, including Families and School Together (FAST)
- Participate in outreach and engagement activities in the schools to develop relationships with families and school staff
- Collaborate with school staff, program staff, and other CFL school-based staff to meet the needs of families
- Visit families in their homes and provide interpretation as needed
- Provide childcare for parent groups and events as needed
- Assist with the coordination of school-based events and complete required documentation and data entry for client contacts
- Attend supervision, staff meetings, and trainings, and meetings within partner schools
- High School diploma or equivalent with extensive experience working with families; or BA/BS/BSW with relevant experience
- Bilingual in Spanish or Mandarin required
- Experience collaborating with schools preferred
- Excellent organization, communication, and writing skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
- Ability to work evenings as needed to serve working families and flexibility to work occasional weekend days to attend community events
The Case Aide will work primarily in school and office settings in shared spaces, with a moderate amount of time spent at a desk using a computer. Regular travel among four schools located in the school district and regular travel in Brooklyn, New York to conduct home visits are required. Some evening and occasional weekend work is also required.
BenefitsThe Center For Family Life offers a competitive salary range of $42,500 - $45,000 per year, as well as medical, dental, vision, and life insurance benefits, and the opportunity to participate in additional voluntary life, disability, and 403B retirement plan. Up to four weeks of paid vacation and individual supervision and ongoing professional development opportunities are also provided.
