Position Overview:

Under the guidance of the Senior Director of Marketing and Creative Strategy, the Graphic Designer will play a crucial role in executing creative tasks while upholding HAF's branding standards. This position aims to enhance the quality and quantity of design outputs, reinforcing HAF's reputation as a leading organization in Hindu American advocacy.

Key Responsibilities:

The Graphic Designer will be expected to perform the following duties with or without reasonable accommodations:

  • Design and create a variety of materials for digital, print, web, and video platforms, utilizing a wide range of media and graphic design software.
  • Provide insights on best practices and optimizations throughout design projects.
  • Collaborate with team members to explore innovative approaches for developing more impactful graphics.
  • Stay updated on design trends to ensure HAF's branding remains fresh and relevant.
  • Manage multiple design projects while adhering to specifications and budget constraints.
  • Establish the voice and messaging for graphic design materials.
  • Conduct quality checks on designs to identify errors.
  • Create templates that align with branding guidelines for general use.
  • Review creative submissions from external sources to ensure compliance with organizational branding.
  • Assist in maintaining and organizing media asset libraries on network drives and Adobe Creative Cloud.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in a creative discipline, or equivalent work experience demonstrated in a portfolio.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in graphic design.
  • A diverse portfolio showcasing a variety of creative projects.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (primarily Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and Canva.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Premiere, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, and Figma is advantageous.
  • Basic knowledge of web design is preferred.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to remote work platforms such as Slack, Asana, and Google Drive.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
  • Organized and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Work Environment:
