About the Role

Apollo Inc is seeking a highly skilled Trading Assistant to join its global credit businesses. The successful candidate will work closely with traders, portfolio managers, and global support teams to ensure the delivery of end-to-end trade management, including trade confirmation, settlement, and risk monitoring.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage trade bookings across multiple credit strategies, including structured credit, high yield, and investment grade corporates.
  • Coordinate with traders, portfolio managers, finance, compliance, and business managers through close partnership with New York, Los Angeles, and London teams.
  • Act as an independent lead to book trades across multiple credit strategies with minimal direction and oversight from portfolio managers.
  • Provide real-time monitoring of portfolio activity and relay important points of feedback to key decision-makers.
  • Oversee and publish trade and portfolio summaries.
  • Collaborate with risk monitoring groups to develop reports related to the firm's portfolios.
  • Maintain a professional relationship with executing brokers.
  • Resolve trade issues with counterparty and internal operations.
  • Refine existing trade allocation processes and develop and implement enhancements to systems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 1-3 years of experience on a trading floor as a Trading Assistant or Trade Support professional at a bulge-bracket investment bank or asset management firm.
  • Experience booking trades, corporate actions, security settlement processes, and SMF set-up.
  • Strong working knowledge of various investment products, including corporate bonds, ABS, bank debt term loans, private loans, Revolver/Delayed Draw loans, repos, whole loans, cash & synthetic structured credit, options, and swaps.
  • Working knowledge of Bloomberg and Order Management Systems; knowledge of Everest and/or thinkFolio is a plus.
  • Superior Excel skills.
  • Programming skills is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and attention to detail.
