Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned CFO-In-Residence to join our team in Atlanta. As a key member of our financial leadership team, you will provide strategic guidance and operational expertise to our clients, helping them navigate complex financial challenges and achieve their business goals.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize your significant industry experience to help solve sophisticated financial challenges for our clients.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and other Acuity team members to deliver exceptional services.
  • Function as an operational CFO, working closely with clients' executive teams and Acuity staff to provide guidance on strategic planning, capital raises, financial models, and complex accounting issues.
  • Provide expertise on negotiation of debt with banks, compensation planning, and budgeting/forecasting.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest financial technologies and implement efficient processes to improve client expectations and outcomes.
About You
  • You have a proven track record as a CFO or equivalent role, with experience in equity raises, financial modeling, and strategic planning.
  • You are a forward-thinking professional with a focus on the future state of our clients' businesses.
  • You are tenacious and able to handle a heavy workload across multiple clients.
  • You are a critical thinker who can analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • You are an efficient communicator who can effectively communicate with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • You have experience working with cloud-based systems, such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite, and Intaact.
  • You are a collaborative team player who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Requirements
  • 4-year university degree in finance or accounting.
  • CPA certification is a plus.
  • Experience in equity raises, financial modeling, and strategic planning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
