Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team at Johns Hopkins University. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and guidance on all aspects of human resources, including talent acquisition, employee relations, and organizational development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement human resources strategies and initiatives to support the university's mission and goals.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on human resources policies and procedures.
  • Manage and oversee the recruitment and selection process for all university positions.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct investigations and resolve employee complaints and grievances.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with university leaders, faculty, and staff.
  • Stay up-to-date on changing laws and regulations affecting human resources and provide guidance to the university community.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Five years of progressively responsible human resources experience, preferably in a university setting.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret and apply laws and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Experience with HR information systems and technology.
  • Certification in human resources, such as SHRM-CP or HRCI.
