Senior Azure Solutions Architect

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Azure Solutions Architect to become a vital part of our innovative team at International Software Systems, Inc.

Role Duration: This position is initially projected for a duration of six months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and project needs.

In-Person Interview: Candidates must be prepared for an in-person interview as part of the selection process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Azure Administration: Oversee the provisioning, configuration, management, and monitoring of Azure virtual machines, storage solutions, IaaS, PaaS, and networking elements. Conduct regular operating system and security updates, backups, and implement disaster recovery plans for Azure resources.
  • Azure Security Management: Set up and manage Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Key Vault, and ensure compliance with data encryption and security protocols.
  • DevOps Integration: Facilitate the establishment and integration of DevOps processes, managing CI/CD pipelines for Azure applications.
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Implement Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Network Watcher, and Azure Application Insights, creating automated alerts based on defined rules and thresholds.
  • Expertise in Azure Services: Demonstrate proficiency in Azure App Service, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Application Gateway, including setup, configuration, and ongoing support.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five years of experience in a role as an Azure Cloud Administrator or Azure Cloud Engineer.
  • Possession of an Azure Administrator Associate certification or a higher level of certification.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field is required.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with Object-Oriented Programming and N-Tier Architecture.
  • Experience with design patterns.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to effectively interface with clients.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Experience in Agile/SCRUM methodologies is preferred.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and experience with Azure DevOps Server is advantageous.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Information: Selected candidates will undergo a Public Trust background security investigation and may need to meet eligibility criteria for access to sensitive information. Preference will be given to U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents.
