Position Summary

The Metal 3D Printing Technician will play a vital role in our metal additive manufacturing operations. Key responsibilities will include setting up print jobs and conducting routine maintenance on the machinery. This position is essential for establishing our printing operations at the new Hyliion facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the engineering team to produce prototype hardware using metal powder bed 3D printing technology.
  • Execute downstream processes post-printing, including powder removal and preparing jobs for further operations.
  • Assist in enhancing the current printing processes to achieve higher quality outputs at an accelerated pace.
  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned to meet business needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education, Experience, and Certifications
    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a hands-on work environment.
    • Experience with additive manufacturing machinery.
    • Familiarity with CNC machinery.
  • Skills and Competencies
    • Self-driven with the ability to take initiative.
    • Strong mechanical or electrical aptitude.
    • Excellent problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
    • Experience in operating additive manufacturing equipment.
    • Proficiency in handling machinery that requires precise calibration or detailed setup.

Work Environment and Conditions

This is an hourly, non-exempt position typically situated in a production, assembly, or engineering lab setting. Overtime may be necessary.

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
