Job Title: Field Service Technician

MPOYNT is seeking a skilled and experienced Field Service Technician to join our dynamic delivery and results-driven Field Services Team. As a key member of our team, you will provide onsite technical services to our client partners, helping them successfully adopt new infrastructure technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the physical setup and distribution of network appliances, workstations, and peripherals while maintaining safe work practices.
  • Provide support to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across all endpoints.
  • Conduct technical site assessments to scope the level of effort and work required.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to address areas of concern and take appropriate action to remediate.
  • Provide supporting documentation to create knowledge base articles, network diagrams, etc.
  • Maintain all Technical Information, Field Service Reports, Timesheets, Expense Reports, and Inventory details in a timely manner.
  • Stay current on industry trends and leverage ideas to improve and/or better align IT systems and services.

Requirements:

  • Degree or diploma in Computer Networking, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, including addressing, sub-netting, routing, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Previous experience with deployment of network appliances, access control systems, IP-based telephony, NAS, etc.
  • Fluent in English and excellent ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to manage a physically demanding workload and work in a variety of indoor/outdoor environments and weather conditions.
  • Willingness to work various shifts as assigned, including evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays.
