Job Summary
The IT Help Desk Specialist is responsible for providing technical support to staff, designing, implementing, and maintaining IT systems for Verasonics. This role requires a self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills and a customer support orientation.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and maintain hardware and software
Perform hardware and software upgrades as needed
Track and maintain end-user software licensing
Provide first and second-tier help desk support for software, hardware, and network issues
IT Support
Test and debug programs, network, and customer-bound data acquisition systems
Contact software vendors to obtain specifications and pricing
Manage device management platforms and user training platforms
Monitor, maintain, and update company IT documentation
IT Systems Engineering
Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools
Ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
Collaborate with clients, vendors, management, and staff during system creation and maintenance
Engage quality control procedures to ensure efficient and operational systems
Requirements
BA or BS degree in IS/IT, computer science, network, or computer engineering, or equivalent experience
4+ years of IT support experience in a complex IT environment
4+ years of experience in at least 2 of the following areas: MAC, Linux, and Windows OS environments; network and/or system administration
Recent experience with MS Office 365, MS Server, and Operating System Fundamentals
Demonstrated experience configuring and maintaining desktop/laptop hardware
Skilled with device management platforms such as Intune and JAMF
Preferred Qualifications
A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information
Known for being detail-oriented and extremely reliable
Possess outstanding English verbal and written communication skills and be able to follow verbal and/or written instructions
Demonstrated technical capacity and initiative, problem-solving/analysis skills
Ability to work on-site in our Kirkland office Tuesday-Thursday
