Job Overview

Lloyd & McDaniel PLC, a reputable multi-state firm specializing in creditors' rights and collections, is seeking an Associate Legal Counsel to enhance our North Carolina division.


Licensure Requirement:


Must be licensed and authorized to practice law in North Carolina.

Role Responsibilities:

As an Associate Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for managing all facets of the civil litigation process.


Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Conducting pre-legal assessments of documents to verify client legal claims
  • Reviewing pleadings in preparation for civil action filings
  • Analyzing all responsive pleadings submitted by opposing parties
  • Drafting correspondence, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents throughout civil proceedings
  • Traveling frequently within the state to attend various hearings, including default calendars, motions, and trials
  • Managing multiple projects concurrently
  • Exhibiting exceptional organizational skills

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Licensed to practice law in South Carolina and in good standing
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Capability to analyze documents and evidence thoroughly
  • Detail-oriented approach

Preferred Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years of litigation and trial experience
  • General proficiency in computer usage
  • Experience with MS Office Suite
