About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Software Engineer to join our Corporate Responsibility/Corporate Technology team at JPMorgan Chase. As a key member of our agile team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop creative software solutions, leveraging your expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices.
  • Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs and technical credentials.
  • Develop secure high-quality production code, review and debug code written by others, and identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Web Services, Microservices, Kafka, and AWS technologies.
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, including CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
  • Practical cloud native experience and in-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Python programming language and Data Engineering experience.
