Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Software Engineer to join our team at JPMorgan Chase within Corporate Sector in Workforce Technology's custom integrations platform.

As a key member of our agile team, you will be responsible for enhancing, building, and delivering top-notch technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You will drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions, applying deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of challenges that span multiple technologies and applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of full-stack, front-end focused developers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable web applications using React and TypeScript.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including back-end developers, UX/UI designers, and product managers, to deliver seamless user experiences.
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Implement best practices for front-end development, including code reviews, testing, and continuous integration.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, applying this knowledge to drive continuous improvement and organizational influence across peers and decision-makers.
  • Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are met by software code development.
  • Contribute to the development of RESTful APIs using Java Spring Boot.
  • Leverage AWS cloud services to enhance application performance, scalability, and security.
  • Promote a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
  • Ability to independently tackle design and functionality problems with minimal oversight.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for process improvement.
  • Experience with Figma for design review.
  • Deep understanding of modern front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript ES7, and TypeScript.
  • Understanding of front-end security best practices and vulnerability management.
  • Expertise in React 18 and React Hooks, encompassing end-to-end front-end development.
  • Practical understanding of Storybook, Jest, React Testing Library, and MSW for testing.
  • Familiarity with popular front-end libraries, including React Router, React Query, React Hook Form, AG Grid, and Tailwind CSS.
  • Strong knowledge of state management libraries and concepts.
  • Experience with front-end build tools and package managers.
