Position Overview

The Senior Software Engineering Leader is tasked with shaping and articulating the strategic direction and vision for their teams. This role emphasizes building robust partnerships with both IT and business stakeholders, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication.

This leader will guide other leaders in delivering value aligned with the mission of each team. They will ensure that team objectives and product development are in sync with business priorities, enabling technology innovations that support the overarching business vision. Additionally, this role involves collaboration with other delivery leaders to manage team budgets and set performance goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and management to cultivate high-performing teams, focusing on talent development and future leadership; this includes optimizing organizational structures in line with operational models, fostering team integration, and promoting a culture of accountability and growth.
  • Establish the technical roadmap for respective platforms while collaborating with senior leadership across business and IT to ensure alignment with strategic goals; effectively communicate vision and values to the team.
  • Oversee the development practices and maintain code quality for all projects and deliverables.
  • Drive technological innovation and encourage forward-thinking approaches within the respective platforms.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams during the vendor selection process.
  • Manage all human resource responsibilities for direct reports.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
  • Adhere to all company policies and standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • Over 10 years of experience in software engineering is required.
  • Proven experience in management and supervisory practices, as well as human resource management.
  • Strong understanding of IT architecture, software development lifecycle, project management, and systems administration.
  • Experience in managing teams and applying management principles effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Visual Studio, and GIT.
  • Deep knowledge of software engineering methodologies.
  • Exceptional skills in critical thinking, business acumen, and organizational agility; must possess excellent communication and collaboration abilities to convey a clear vision across diverse audiences.
  • Strong leadership and communication capabilities.
