We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Development Manager to lead our Java development team at Ascyndent. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the development process, ensuring that our software solutions meet the highest industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee the development process, ensuring that activities are carried out according to the highest industry standards.
  • Work to continuously improve the agile development process, with an emphasis on automation, reuse, and increased productivity.
  • Interact with various internal and external systems and stakeholders to ensure that technical solutions align with business requirements and technical standards.
  • Partner with the team to support a diverse range of complex initiatives, both in development and production, and lead multiple, technically complex, large-scale projects.
  • Develop and end-to-end support for applications, including understanding requirements, writing stories, participating in PI and sprint planning meetings, and interacting with business users.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of Java implementations, including user interfaces, integrations, and web services.
  • JDK Version 7 to 11 experience, with a working knowledge of older versions.
  • Java Services Development, application development, and deployments on middle-tier application software.
  • Excellent object-oriented analysis, design, and integration skills.
  • DevOps automated build, test, and deployment skills.
  • Designing and developing process-based solutions, enforcing best practices in Java architecture, design, and coding.
  • Agile methodology and Scrum teams experience, estimating and solutioning experience, and experience leading a group of developers.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team, strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
