Position Overview

The Hire Method, LLC is a philanthropic organization committed to enhancing the lives of children and families facing challenges. Role Summary: We are in search of an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Executive Director to steer our foundation. This pivotal role is essential for advancing our mission by formulating and executing strategic plans, ensuring compliance with governance standards, and boosting employee morale. The successful candidate will possess a robust background in non-profit leadership, especially within children's services, and will have demonstrated success in fundraising and team management. This position will report directly to the Chief Administrative Officer and will oversee three key positions: the Senior Director of Operations & Programs, the Strategic Director of Planning, and an Administrative Assistant.

Core Responsibilities

  • Revenue Generation Strategy: Create and implement a comprehensive strategy for sustainable income generation, engaging employees, vendors, and community stakeholders. Develop diverse funding sources, including program sponsorships.
  • Fundraising Leadership: Spearhead fundraising initiatives across all levels of the organization, from entry-level staff to executive leadership. Cultivate lasting donor relationships to establish a dependable funding base for our programs.
  • Team Engagement and Oversight: Foster employee engagement through innovative initiatives. Evaluate and enhance the roles of direct reports, utilizing technology to improve team productivity.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Manage governance and compliance, particularly regarding the filing of Form 990 for non-profits. Ensure adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements, focusing on fundraising activities.
  • Non-Profit Management Expertise: Utilize experience in overseeing a genuine non-profit organization, emphasizing children's programs. Ensure all foundation activities align with our mission to support children in need.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
  • Over 10 years of experience in non-profit leadership, emphasizing fundraising, governance, and employee engagement.
  • Demonstrated success in securing significant donations and cultivating long-term donor relationships.
  • Experience managing a grassroots non-profit organization, particularly focused on children's initiatives.
  • Strong leadership and management capabilities, with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards fulfilling the foundation's mission.
  • Comprehensive understanding of governance and compliance standards for non-profit organizations, including familiarity with Form 990 tax filings.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Self-driven and proactive, able to provide vision and direction independently.

Compensation:

  • Salary: $185,000 - $195,000
  • Annual Bonus: Percentage-based
