Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Operations Development:
- Formulate and implement the operational strategy in line with the company's overarching goals and growth initiatives.
- Identify operational strengths and weaknesses, crafting action plans to enhance processes, boost efficiency, and minimize risks.
- Work closely with executive leadership to establish operational objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), and metrics to evaluate performance and foster continuous improvement.
- Process Enhancement:
- Refine operational workflows to increase efficiency, lower costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
- Identify and deploy automation and technological solutions to enhance operational functions.
- Set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess process efficiency and pinpoint areas for enhancement.
- Leadership and Team Development:
- Guide and inspire the operations team, cultivating a culture of collaboration, accountability, and ongoing learning.
- Recruit, train, and mentor team members, supporting their professional advancement.
- Conduct regular performance assessments and provide constructive feedback to encourage high performance and employee engagement.
- Compliance and Regulatory Adherence:
- Stay informed about industry regulations and ensure operational processes comply with legal and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with compliance and legal teams to create and enforce policies and procedures that align with regulatory requirements.
- Perform regular audits and evaluations to monitor compliance and mitigate operational risks.
- Vendor and Stakeholder Relations:
- Build and maintain relationships with key vendors, partners, and stakeholders to ensure effective operational execution.
- Work with third-party service providers to negotiate contracts, manage service level agreements, and guarantee quality service delivery.
- Assess vendor performance and recommend improvements or changes as necessary.
- Risk Management:
- Identify operational risks and implement suitable risk management strategies and controls.
- Develop and uphold business continuity plans to ensure operational resilience during disruptions.
- Collaborate with the risk management team to evaluate and mitigate operational risks, ensuring compliance with risk management frameworks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related discipline (Master's or MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of proven experience in operations management, ideally within the fintech sector.
- Comprehensive understanding of fintech products, services, and operational processes.
- Strong grasp of regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks in the financial industry.
- Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify operational challenges and devise effective solutions.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to align operational objectives with the overall business strategy.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving environment.
Additional Qualifications
- MBA (preferred but not mandatory).
- Experience in startups or the fintech industry.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $180k - $240k+ (based on experience).
