Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Operations Development:
    • Formulate and implement the operational strategy in line with the company's overarching goals and growth initiatives.
    • Identify operational strengths and weaknesses, crafting action plans to enhance processes, boost efficiency, and minimize risks.
    • Work closely with executive leadership to establish operational objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), and metrics to evaluate performance and foster continuous improvement.
  • Process Enhancement:
    • Refine operational workflows to increase efficiency, lower costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
    • Identify and deploy automation and technological solutions to enhance operational functions.
    • Set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess process efficiency and pinpoint areas for enhancement.
  • Leadership and Team Development:
    • Guide and inspire the operations team, cultivating a culture of collaboration, accountability, and ongoing learning.
    • Recruit, train, and mentor team members, supporting their professional advancement.
    • Conduct regular performance assessments and provide constructive feedback to encourage high performance and employee engagement.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Adherence:
    • Stay informed about industry regulations and ensure operational processes comply with legal and regulatory standards.
    • Collaborate with compliance and legal teams to create and enforce policies and procedures that align with regulatory requirements.
    • Perform regular audits and evaluations to monitor compliance and mitigate operational risks.
  • Vendor and Stakeholder Relations:
    • Build and maintain relationships with key vendors, partners, and stakeholders to ensure effective operational execution.
    • Work with third-party service providers to negotiate contracts, manage service level agreements, and guarantee quality service delivery.
    • Assess vendor performance and recommend improvements or changes as necessary.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify operational risks and implement suitable risk management strategies and controls.
    • Develop and uphold business continuity plans to ensure operational resilience during disruptions.
    • Collaborate with the risk management team to evaluate and mitigate operational risks, ensuring compliance with risk management frameworks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related discipline (Master's or MBA preferred).
  • Minimum of 7 years of proven experience in operations management, ideally within the fintech sector.
  • Comprehensive understanding of fintech products, services, and operational processes.
  • Strong grasp of regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks in the financial industry.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify operational challenges and devise effective solutions.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to align operational objectives with the overall business strategy.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving environment.

Additional Qualifications

  • MBA (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Experience in startups or the fintech industry.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $180k - $240k+ (based on experience).
