Job DescriptionAt Shawnee Station Taproom Kitchen, we're seeking a skilled Host Team Member to join our team. As a Host Team Member, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience. Your primary responsibility will be to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, ensuring that every guest feels valued and cared for.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome guests promptly and efficiently, providing a high-quality level of service.
  • Recognize regular guests by name and engage with them in a friendly and outgoing manner.
  • Seat guests in a timely and organized manner, ensuring that servers are aware of their tables.
  • Assist with and direct the clearing of tables throughout the shift.
  • Clean and organize menus throughout the shift.
  • Focus on guests' needs and remain calm, professional, and courteous, even in high-pressure situations.
  • Own the situation and make decisions using the LEARN model.
  • Notify a leader of opportunities and accolades at the time they occur.
  • Practice good service recovery by rectifying any complaints using the LEARN model.
  • Maintain stock levels and cleanliness in guest bathrooms (hourly checks at minimum).
  • Closing out the stand at the end of each shift and maintaining it in an orderly fashion.

Requirements:

  • Utilize the Toast Tables process and procedures to accurately document the flow of guests.
  • Seating guests in a way that ensures a positive experience, following seating guidelines.
  • Communicate opportunities and accolades to leaders promptly.
