Position Title: Certified Nursing Assistant

Overview:
As a vital member of the nursing care team at Lexington Medical - Extended Care, the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a crucial role in delivering direct patient support under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for assisting patients with a variety of essential activities, including but not limited to:
  • Providing support with daily living activities such as nutrition, hygiene, and mobility.
  • Transporting residents to appointments and social programs as needed.
  • Assisting with the safe lifting, turning, and positioning of residents.
  • Responding promptly to resident calls and needs.
  • Measuring and documenting vital signs as instructed.
  • Ensuring that personal care needs of residents are consistently met.
  • Reporting any hazardous conditions to the Charge Nurse immediately.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and proper storage of resident care equipment.
  • Performing routine housekeeping tasks related to nursing care.
  • Other duties as assigned by nursing staff.

Qualifications:
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Certification: Active CNA certification in South Carolina.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
