Position Title: Certified Nursing Assistant

Job Overview:
As a vital member of the nursing care team, the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a crucial role in delivering direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse. This position is essential in ensuring the comfort and well-being of residents within our extended care facility.

Key Responsibilities:
As a CNA, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
  • Receiving and participating in nursing reports at the beginning of each shift.
  • Assisting residents with daily living activities to promote their independence and dignity.
  • Facilitating the transportation of residents to appointments and social activities.
  • Providing support in lifting, turning, and positioning residents safely.
  • Responding promptly to resident calls and needs.
  • Guiding residents in mobility exercises, with or without assistive devices.
  • Measuring and documenting vital signs as directed.
  • Monitoring residents to ensure their personal care needs are met consistently.
  • Assisting with the application of medical aids such as slings and bandages.
  • Conducting daily range of motion exercises and recording relevant data.
  • Reporting any hazardous conditions or equipment issues to the Charge Nurse immediately.
  • Adhering to established safety protocols during all tasks.
  • Cleaning and disinfecting resident care equipment after each use.
  • Performing routine housekeeping tasks related to nursing care.
  • Completing additional duties as assigned by supervisory staff.

Qualifications:
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent experience (minimum 6 months).
  • Certification: Active CNA certification in South Carolina.
  • Training: No additional training required.
