Position Overview
As a vital member of the nursing care team, the Certified Nursing Assistant plays a crucial role in delivering direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

Key Responsibilities
As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will be responsible for:
  • Receiving and participating in nursing reports at the start of your shift.
  • Assisting residents with daily living activities.
  • Transporting residents to appointments and social programs as needed.
  • Providing support with lifting, turning, and moving residents safely.
  • Responding promptly to resident calls for assistance.
  • Guiding residents in walking with or without mobility aids as directed.
  • Measuring and documenting vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
  • Regularly checking on residents to ensure their personal care needs are met.
  • Assisting with the application of medical aids such as slings and bandages.
  • Conducting daily range of motion exercises and recording relevant data.
  • Reporting any hazardous conditions or equipment issues to the Charge Nurse immediately.
  • Adhering to established safety protocols while performing all duties.
  • Cleaning and disinfecting resident care equipment after each use.
  • Performing routine housekeeping tasks related to nursing care.
  • Completing other assigned duties as necessary.

Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Certification: Must be a certified CNA in South Carolina.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
