Position Overview

As a Technical Sales Consultant for Software Solutions, you will be instrumental in shaping FlexGen's market approach, collaborating closely with our Business Development and Account Management teams to cultivate software sales opportunities. This role encompasses the entire customer journey, from initial outreach to renewal and expansion, with a particular emphasis on FlexGen's HybridOS software, which interacts with installed battery and renewable assets. You will be responsible for delivering value-driven demonstrations, aiding in the development of marketing materials, and establishing internal processes for the Software Sales Engineer function.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Business Development and Account Managers to identify and pursue software sales opportunities, ensuring successful account acquisition and growth.
  • Engage in discovery sessions with potential clients to gain insights into their business and technical challenges.
  • Conduct tailored software demonstrations that highlight the unique value of our solutions to meet the specific needs of prospects.
  • Assist in the creation of essential marketing materials and processes to streamline opportunity progression, including solution designs and business cases.
  • Oversee the completion of RFPs and other procurement documentation.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders within prospective client organizations.
  • Work collaboratively across departments to support prospects and clients while enhancing internal efficiencies.
  • Develop and maintain internal processes, including training materials, RFP databases, and other critical resources.
Qualifications:
  • Core Competencies: Ability to influence both internally and externally, ambition coupled with accountability, effective executive communication, teamwork, a growth-oriented mindset, and a strong drive for success.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a comparable role.
  • Demonstrated success in B2B software sales within a dynamic startup environment.
  • Exceptional presentation and demonstration skills, with the ability to tailor communication for diverse audiences, including technical experts and C-level executives.
  • Strong technical knowledge with the capability to design custom technical architecture.
  • Proven ability to create high-quality, bespoke materials and presentations from the ground up.
  • Established track record of comprehending complex electrical, industrial, and financial concepts.
  • Experience in electric power, renewable energy (solar, wind, and battery), industrial communication, or electrical services is preferred.
  • While this role is currently an individual contributor position, the ideal candidate will possess prior leadership experience in personal or professional contexts to facilitate scaling when necessary.
  • Willingness to travel to client locations as required.
  • Flexibility for remote work arrangements may be considered based on qualifications and scheduling needs.
