Job Opportunity: Engineer-In-Training – Water/Wastewater Treatment

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Engineer-in-Training to join our Municipal Engineering Team at our Corporate Headquarters.

About the Role
  • Provide technical support in the planning, design, and construction of municipal wastewater treatment projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Participate in all phases of project development, from permitting and planning to reports, design, and construction, utilizing expertise in engineering data analysis and problem-solving.
  • Analyze complex engineering data, create construction-ready plans and specifications, and make informed decisions to overcome challenges and deliver high-quality results.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers, project managers, and subconsultants to provide reporting, design, and construction phase services, promoting effective communication and teamwork.
  • Organize and conduct meetings with consulting partners, contractors, clients, and agencies to ensure seamless project execution and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Coordinate and support treatment projects throughout the company, leveraging expertise in design tools such as AutoCAD Civil3D, Microsoft Excel, and ArcGIS Pro.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or equivalent, with a strong foundation in mathematics and science.
  • Master's Degree is desired, but not required, with a focus on advanced engineering principles and practices.
  • 2+ years of experience as an EI with increasing responsibilities, demonstrating growth and expertise in engineering roles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), with experience in AutoCAD and/or GIS a plus.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and writing skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
