Peraton is on the lookout for a seasoned executive to take on the role of Vice President of Business Growth, focusing on expansion within the Fourth Estate agencies. This position primarily targets the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC), while also providing limited assistance to the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS), and Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA).
The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in recognizing and securing new business opportunities, as well as leading teams dedicated to business development in capturing strategic programs within the Fourth Estate markets. It is crucial for the candidate to have experience in cultivating a strong, targeted pipeline of prospects that will drive organizational growth and meet established objectives. Essential skills include robust strategic planning capabilities and a relentless commitment to securing business, complemented by a history of significant achievements with the aforementioned clients. Additionally, the candidate should have established connections with key personnel in current customer bases and within the DoD Fourth Estate community.
Job Duties:
- Oversee and utilize resources to create, identify, develop, and qualify business opportunities.
- Meet growth targets by securing new contracts, managing recompetes, and fostering organic program expansion.
- Maintain an active pipeline of opportunities that align with corporate strategies and objectives.
- Serve as the primary liaison with the customer community, nurturing relationships through effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Formulate and implement strategies to influence requirements and acquisition approaches.
- Identify and pursue new business sectors, adjacent markets, and partnerships.
- Adopt the Peraton Business Acquisition Process in daily operations, ensuring clear communication of opportunities and plans to management and technical teams.
- Assist potential clients by showcasing technology solutions, architectures, capabilities, and acquisition pathways for early-stage opportunities, collaborating with internal technical and program management teams to respond to Requests for Information (RFIs), market surveys, white papers, presentations, briefings, and major event demonstrations.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 18 years of experience, or a Master's Degree with at least 16 years of experience. Additional experience may substitute for educational qualifications.
- Demonstrated understanding of the Fourth Estate Agencies markets and the evolving dynamics within this domain.
- Proven experience in establishing and executing a long-term vision and strategic direction for an organization.
- Extensive customer engagement experience with key accounts such as DISA and DMDC, including relationship building, execution of call plans, and maintaining high customer satisfaction.
- Experience leading substantial business pursuits exceeding $50M through the business acquisition process, from opportunity identification to capture phases.
- A successful history of supporting and securing contracts with DISA and DMDC clients.
- Proven ability to cultivate relationships with strategic partners, both prime and subcontractors.
- Capability to develop and enhance key relationships within customer organizations.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining an enterprise-wide perspective.
- Demonstrated understanding of customer needs to align Peraton's capabilities and core values effectively.
- High energy, integrity, strong business acumen, professionalism, and commitment are essential.
- Exceptional communication skills across all levels of the organization and with customers, including senior executives.
- Experience navigating the complexities of rules, regulations, and nuances that influence the capture process.
- U.S. Citizenship is required; eligibility for security clearance is necessary.
Desired:
- Experience in selling Enterprise IT Solutions and Services, with the ability to articulate benefits and differentiators.
- Familiarity with DOD and Component level mission objectives.
- Proven track record of consistently growing pipeline and awards.
- Active security clearance; TS/SCI clearance is preferred.
