The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President of Finance and Administration to join our executive leadership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing financial management strategies, overseeing risk management functions, and contributing to the development of the company's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise the President and other members of the executive leadership team on financial planning and analysis, budgeting, cash flow, cost structure, investment priorities, and policy matters.
  • Effectively communicate and present critical financial matters to executive leadership and owners.
  • Contribute to the development of AE's strategic goals and objectives as well as the overall management of the company.
  • Ensure that AE is adhering to the strategic plan, delivering timely and accurate status reports to owners and executive leadership.
  • Oversee risk management functions understanding the risk profile of the company, managing insurance coverage, reporting risk issues, and mitigating all identified risks.
  • Represent the organization externally, as necessary, particularly in banking and credit negotiations and regulatory matters.

Requirements:

  • Business or Accounting degree mandatory, a master's in business administration is preferred.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a management role ideally with both external audit and in-house financial management experience in a high-growth organization.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial analysis, accounting, tax compliance and other regulatory matters.
  • Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive; a team leader who can positively and productively impact both strategic and tactical finance and administration initiatives.
  • Proven track record of success facilitating organizational change and development within a growing organization.
  • Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills including negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Strong mentoring and coaching experience to a team with diverse levels of expertise.
  • Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interface with senior management and staff.
