Medical Support Specialist

PanCare of Florida Inc is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Care: Provide essential support to our medical staff, assist with patient care, and contribute to the smooth operation of our practice.
- Diagnostic and Treatment Support: Perform routine diagnostic tests, medical treatments, and procedures, including taking and recording vital signs, changing sterile dressings, and preparing patients for laboratory analysis.
- Medication Administration: Administer medication as directed by the physician.
- Lab and Specimen Collection: Draw blood samples and obtain urine specimens.
- Administrative Support: Assist with the preparation of equipment, aid the physician/nurse practitioner during treatment, examination, and testing of patients, and maintain a timely flow of patients.
- Charting and Record-Keeping: Formulate and update patient care plans, order, prepare, and inspect patients' charts, and post test and examination results.
- Exam Room Preparation: Prepare exam rooms, including restocking treatment areas.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance: Participate in CLIA and OSHA compliance and monitoring, and maintain professional affiliations.
- Supply Management: Monitor and maintain supplies and medication closets.
- Referral and Documentation: Complete referrals and other paperwork in a timely manner.
- UDS Tracking: Maintain tracking of UDS required information.
- Education: High School Graduate or GED Diploma
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in responsible clinical/medical operations
- Certifications and Licenses: Graduation from accredited Medical Assistant program, preferred. Certification from The American Association of Medical Assistants or other certifying bodies preferred
