About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Duke Health Pediatric Critical Care Specialist to join our team of healthcare professionals. This role will provide direct patient care services for critically ill pediatric patients aged 0-21 with acute, complex, and chronic illness across a variety of care settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with attending physicians and other healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients on the PCCM service.
  • Develop patient care pathways, protocols, and guidelines for the management of specific problems in conjunction with physicians and other members of the health care team.
  • Provide education and support to patients, families, and healthcare staff on pediatric critical care medicine.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Master's or Doctoral Degree Physician Assistant program.
  • Current unrestricted medical license issued by NCMB with approval to practice as a PA.
  • PA-C certification required.
