Situated in the vibrant Carmel City Center, Hotel Carmichael is a premier boutique hotel that embodies the essence of Central Indiana's rich culture and hospitality.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Housekeeping Houseman is responsible for a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure the hotel environment remains pristine and welcoming.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and manage a cleaning timetable in accordance with Event Space and Restaurant operations.
  • Dust and sanitize surfaces, ensuring both low and high areas are attended to.
  • Maintain and polish all flooring types to a high standard.
  • Properly dispose of waste materials.
  • Ensure public areas, hallways, restrooms, and storage areas are kept clean and orderly.
  • Daily replenishment of linens, cleaning supplies, and guestroom amenities.
  • Assist Housekeeping Attendants with heavy lifting and waste management.
  • Utilize cleaning chemicals safely and in accordance with regulations.
  • Effectively operate commercial cleaning machinery.
  • Maintain familiarity with equipment operation and upkeep.
  • Manage assigned keys and adhere to lost & found protocols.
  • Promptly report any safety hazards or incidents.
  • Follow emergency procedures and company policies diligently.
  • Provide exceptional service to guests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Remain attentive, courteous, and cooperative with both guests and team members.
  • Flexibility in working hours and willingness to work overtime as required.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by the Director of Housekeeping.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Exposure to varying temperature conditions.
  • Exposure to diverse noise levels.
  • Presence of fumes, odors, dust, chemicals, and biohazards.
