- Authorization Verification: Ensure that necessary authorizations are secured prior to appointments and request additional authorizations as needed.
- Appointment Coordination: Schedule patient appointments in accordance with established physician scheduling policies and managerial guidelines.
- File Management: Retrieve and prepare patient files for external requests as required.
- Appointment Confirmation: Confirm appointments daily with patients to ensure attendance.
- Communication: Handle phone calls to and from patients, addressing inquiries, rescheduling appointments, and following up on missed appointments.
- Reception Duties: Maintain a tidy and organized reception area to enhance patient experience.
- Insurance Assistance: Assist patients with inquiries regarding insurance and billing, coordinating with other departments as necessary.
- Patient Support: Provide assistance to patients in distress, arranging transportation or emergency services when required.
- Insurance Knowledge: Keep accurate records of accepted insurance plans to facilitate patient processing.
- Policy Adherence: Perform duties in accordance with departmental policies and the employee handbook at all times.
- Additional Responsibilities: Undertake other tasks as assigned by immediate supervisors and executive leadership.
- Problem Solving: Clearly communicate operational challenges and contribute positively to the development of solutions.
- Management Communication: Respond promptly to inquiries from management.
