Job Summary
At Medtronic, we are seeking a highly skilled Healthcare Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) Therapy group, you will play a critical role in supporting surgical coverage, follow-up, support, troubleshooting, customer service, and education within a territory.
This is a field-based role that requires strong technical skills and the ability to work independently. You will serve as a technical resource to support sales of a specific medical product or solution, and educate and train physicians, hospital personnel, and office staff on technical matters relating to our products and therapies.
Responsibilities
- Support field personnel in providing the best possible outcomes and service for Medtronic customers.
- Serve as a technical resource to support sales of a specific medical product or solution.
- Proactively identify needs and teach a broader level of caregivers and account employees.
- Educate and train physicians, hospital personnel, and office staff on technical matters relating to our products and therapies.
- Support surgical coverage, follow-up, support, troubleshooting, customer service, and education within a territory.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 8 years of clinical or medical sales experience.
- Associate Degree with a minimum of 6 years of clinical or medical sales experience.
- Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field.
- Experience in servicing medical personnel on product use.
- Experience with a medical device company or pharmaceutical company, and clinical experience in a specialty area: neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedic, operating room, pain management, or home health care.
- Ability to serve as the primary resource for scheduled and unscheduled clinical events.
- Ability to work weekends, evenings, and nights, and may be required to engage in overnight travel within own district or neighboring districts.
