Lead Solutions Architect for Financial Services

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking skilled Solutions Architects to provide guidance to our Financial Services clients on effectively adopting and maximizing the benefits of AWS technologies.

This position is ideal for individuals with extensive experience in the Financial Services sector, profound knowledge of industry-specific applications and infrastructure, and a strong grasp of how cloud solutions can assist Financial Services clients in transforming their data management systems and rapidly developing innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a vital member of the Financial Services industry team, contributing significantly to the execution of our market strategies and initiatives at a regional level.
  • Identify the unique needs of Financial Services clients in your designated area; engage directly with clients and account teams to assess business requirements and assist in defining and developing tailored industry solutions.
  • Provide mentorship to Solutions Architects supporting Financial Services clients as part of the AWS account teams, and relay feedback to engineering teams to facilitate smoother adoption of AWS services by Financial Services clients.

The ideal candidate will possess experience in mentoring senior engineers or solutions architects, direct client engagement, and defining and implementing secure, scalable, and reliable cloud solutions within the Financial Services domain.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in specific technology domains (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
  • 3+ years of experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
  • 10+ years of experience in IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking.
  • Familiarity with SAP systems (e.g., SAP Business Suite, S/4HANA, SAP Business Warehouse, SAP HANA, SAP Business Objects) and their architectural and infrastructural requirements.
  • Experience collaborating with end-user or developer communities.
